Learning How To Learn

• grades are correlated with learning, but focusing on them can derail you from long term learning
• cramming is beneficial in the short term, but don't be tempted by it. Plan for the long term
• use assessment as a learning tool, and identify topics that you struggle with
• shorten the feedback cycle of practice and evaluation
• teaching others helps you learn the concept
• use productive time to practice and apply concepts
• metacognition is important, re-evaluate your own methodologies
